It's not a game issue since it works with a no-steam mod.
I have attempted all of these as well without success. String: OffscreenRenderingMode value: fbo Still, I didn't buy the game to play SP over and over.
The only solution I have found thus far to actually play the game is to download a no-steam mod to the single player. I have also installed this game three times once via CD's, once via steam installer, and once via CD's to a windows computer, checked to ensure it worked there (it does), and then I transferred the files via the network. Verify game data does not resolve the issue. Trying right-clicking on COD:MW2 and selecting properties and tell it to "verify game data" - if that checks out ok and it still does not work try reinstalling the game (I know its a big download but it's worth a shot)
